Alysha Dark, aka Alysha Drak and Shayla Kard

Since a young age, Alysha knew that she was different. Ostracised even, as her family hailed from Romania. Often touted as gypsies, the Drak family traveled with the carnivale, as fortune tellers and whatever they could find for work. Alysha's mother, Adrianna, was an actual witch, although she was never trained outside of reading the future with cards and crystals. Her husband, Dierte Drak, was nothing more than a slight of hand artist who was quick with a blade. She was an only child, a rarity in a Rom family, and showed skill for Divination early. Also, she expierimented with love potions and luck potions, mainly to sell to the masses at carnivales. Some of these may have worked, but it's doubtful.

When she came of a proper age, eleven, her mother thought it'd be best for her to find schooling. By now, their spot in the carnivale had grown popular, mainly in London itself, for Alysha's potions. Spotting that there may be some actual magic, a representitive of Hogwart's spoke to the family, and thus Alysha entered the school to begin her proper training.
